  • Fast Retailing Foundation supports aspiring and ardent Filipino students who wish to study at Japanese universities, encouraging them to cultivate an understanding of the Japanese culture, harnessing and enhancing their gifts through intellectual exchanges as well as acquire the knowledge which they need in order to study in Japan.

    The Foundation hopes that scholarship students with a sense of mission will make a significant contribution to the development and growth of societies in the Philippines, Japan, and the rest of the world，and we look forward to working together to make our societies better places for the generations to come.

  • Scholarship Program Overview

    ■Number of students accepted :

    Approximately 10 students per year

    ■Admission Period :

    2027 Spring and Autumn enrollment

    ■Designated universities :

    ■Funds granted in this scholarship :

    1) Tuition and other fees (examination, enrollment, tuition fees and insurance premiums)
    2) Preparation support (200,000 JPY)
    3) Monthly stipend (144,000 JPY – 160,000 JPY)

    ■The maximum scholarship fund :

    4,500,000 yen per year

    ■Period and timing of payment :

    The scholarship payment will continue until graduation from the university, excluding any period of leave of absence. (For details, please refer to the PDF file "Application Guidelines" below.)

    ☐Notification of invitation for final interview:
    By October 23 (Fri.), 2026, JST
    • Those who are invited to the final interview will be notified personally by The Foundation.
    ☐Final interview:
    November 3(Tue.), 2026. All day JST
    ・Venue: Manila

    • The screening schedule is subject to change at the Foundation's discretion. The Foundation will not be responsible for any disadvantages incurred to the applicants due to any change in the schedule.

    ■Notification of acceptance/rejection

    The Foundation will notify the applicant of the final decision on acceptance/rejection by e-mail by November 13 (Fri.), 2026
